What is a Money Manager Prepaid Visa® Card?

A Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card (MMC) is a prepaid Visa card that enables employees to participate in their employer’s Electronic Deposit program. Employees’ wages are deposited directly onto a Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card each pay period for immediate and easy access. The Money Manager Card is a Visa branded card that can be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. The Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card can be used to shop, get cash, transfer money, and pay bills. It’s the simple, convenient, low cost alternative to a bank account.

Who is eligible for a Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card?

All employees are eligible for the Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card and all employees are approved to join the program – no bank account or credit check is required.

Why would employees want the card?

The Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card is a powerful financial instrument providing more access to free ATM withdrawals on the Allpoint network and more free bank withdrawals where Visa cards are accepted than any other bank or card product on the market today. Some advantages for employees are: immediate access to funds on payday; no monthly fees; no lost checks. How do employees enroll?

Employees complete the Money Manager Card Enrollment Form which should be returned to Payroll or Human Resources Department. Once a card has been ordered it will take approximately 7-10 business days for the card to be created and shipped to the employer for distribution.

What happens if a Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card is lost, stolen, or damaged?

Money Manager Prepaid Visa Cards are very valuable and, although the Money Manager Card and funds are insured against unauthorized use, the card should be kept in a safe place and the PIN should never be divulged. In the event a Money Manager Card is lost or stolen, direct the cardholder to IMMEDIATELY make a report to Cardholder Services at the toll-free number in their Money Manager Card package; a representative will be able to assist with Money Manager Card replacement and account concerns.

How does a cardholder order a replacement card?

Replacement Money Manager Cards can be ordered by calling Cardholder Services at the toll-free number in their card package. It is imperative cardholders keep their personal information up to date to ensure they receive replacement Money Manager Cards in a timely manner.

Replacement Money Manager Cards will be mailed, free of charge via USPS and should be received within 7-10 business days from date of order. If a cardholder wishes to have the Money Manager Card within 2 business days expedited shipping is available for a charge of $10.00, which covers the cost of handling and shipping. The expedited shipping fee of $10.00 is automatically deducted from the cardholders Money Manager Card account.

How will new employees enroll?

New employees will be provided a form with their new-hire orientation packet that allows them to choose Direct Deposit or a Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card for payment of their wages.

What other languages are the program materials and customer service available in?

The Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card offers collateral and Cardholder Services service (including online account access) in English and Spanish.

Who handles the accounts and where are they located?

The Money Manager Card is issued by West Suburban Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. West Suburban Bank’s address is: West Suburban Bank 711 S Westmore Ave, Lombard, IL 60148.

For payroll purposes the Money Manager Prepaid Visa Card is considered a checking account.
